After a long search in deciding what mattress I wanted to buy I decided on the Shire Eco Sound mattress after coming across it in a showroom locally. A small single mattress is an appropriate size for a kids bed and also to fit limited spaces such as a small guest room.

 

When choosing a new mattress, bear in mind that mattress sizes in the UK remain the same whichever manufacturer makes the mattress. This is sometimes not the case for divans and bedsteads but always the case for mattresses. The industry standard for a small single mattress is 75cm x 190cm, which is 2’6” by 6' 3". European and North American sizes for small single mattresses can differ so be aware of this if you have imported your bed.

 

While mattress sizes are standardised in the UK bed industry, the depth of a small single mattress will depend on the structure and the fillings within the mattress. Nevertheless you can assume that all 2ft6 mattresses are generally between 15cm and 30cm deep which is reflected by our selection of small single mattresses for you here at Only Mattresses.
