Shire eco DRIFT Mattress

The firm support is provided by the firm 12.5 gauge spring unit. This spring unit is made using the strongest tensile wire available which not only makes it firm but means it is also very durable. The spring unit also features a rod edge wire frame which helps to prevent roll-off as well as helping the mattress keep its shape for longer. On top of this open coil spring unit are layers of polyester and  luxurious orthopaedic fillings which, while not taking away from the firmness of the mattress, add that extra layer of comfort that is absolutely necessary for a sound night's sleep.

These natural fillings and the cover are all treated with Ecoshield, an insect repellent which is completely harmless to humans and actually smells good as well. Its main active ingredient is 100% natural eucalyptus oil which not only has a subtle but pleasant smell, but is also known to help relieve sinus infections, bronchitis, flu and the common cold. The active ingredient is held in microcapsules which are released it over a long period of time by only breaking open when the mattress is in use. This is an excellent meeting of science and nature and will ensure that this mattress and all the others in this range provide possibly the healthiest sleeping environment possible.

The mattress has a quality finish as well, with air vents that allow air to flow freely through the mattress to ensure it stays fresher for longer. There are handles on either side to make turning the mattress simple and easy, while it is also hand tufted. This is traditional process is performed by a skilled craftsman and involved threading a length of fabric through the mattress which keeps all the layers in place and ensures the mattress doesn't lose its shape.
