Hypo-Allergenic Mattresses

Allergies stand between many people and a great night's sleep. Not only this but sleeping on the wrong kind of mattress can mean waking up tired and the continuation of symptoms through out the day. These hypo-allergenic mattresses can be a breath of fresh air and improve not just your sleep but your quality of life. Designed to help prevent reactions to allergies, they are tightly sealed to keep dead skin and body oil from getting into the mattress and providing a breeding ground for dust mites, which cause allergic reactions.

  • Review for Relyon Memory Original Mattress

    Superb product and service

Bought a mattress from a local bed shop,at a much dearer price had it a month before giving it to a charity. Cannot believe the comfort and quality of the Relyon mattress, the speed it was delivered and the service I received from the lady I spoke to.

    Love this mattress.

High quality mattress, really comfortable. I would say it feels more firm than medium, but it is very comfortable. I am really pleased with the mattress and the quick delivery. The delivery man was very helpful . Definitely recommend this product and company.

  • Review for Shire eco SOUND Mattress

Lovely good quality mattress, firm but moulds to the body

Lovely mattress, best I've ever had. Slightly firm at first but in the night your body moulds in to it. Can't fault anything except its a heavy mattress.

More on Hypo-Allergenic

Why choose a Hypoallergenic mattress?

It is important for asthma sufferers, allergen sensitive people and young children to sleep in the most hypoallergenic environment as possible. The choice of mattress is therefore critical as it will have properties to help prevent dust mites, pollen or bed bugs from nesting in fabrics.

  • - Try a mattress with a dense padding such as a memory foam mattress or latex mattress, the structures of these naturally decrease the chances of there being any dust mites that may cause allergies in them. The heavier the density of foam, the less likely it will be to attract and hold on to dust
  •

  • - Use a mattress with a removable cover or with a top layer that can be easily removed and washed at high temperature to kill any allergens.
  •

  • - Opting for a zipped cover for mattresses and pillows is also a great choice when having a removable cover isn’t an option. It will offer complete protection and provide a healthier and safer sleeping environement.

A hypo-allergenic mattress is a great choice for anyone who wants to sleep in dust free conditions. They might be more expensive than other types of mattress but are easy to keep clean and worth investing to limit exposure to dust mites.
